Coconut Water Green Smoothie

A beautiful Blend of Hydration & Health




Balancing flavours to create a delicious recipe is not an art, it's just about blending the right ingredients in right quantity. Green smoothies are created with veggies which have very neutral flavours of themselves, mixing them coconut water gives a refreshing and mild naturally sweet flavour. It's not just health in a cup it is also about hydrating your body with essential nutrients.


Coconut Water is translucent liquid with a slight sweet flavour, it is a great source of several nutrients and also a main source of providing hydration to the body. It is known to lower the blood sugar levels and has antioxidant properties.

Celery is a high fiber veggie which is used in various smoothies and juices. It reduces inflammation and supports digestion and also enriched with various vitamins and minerals.

Spinach comes in various varieties, the one i have used in the recipe is small leaf baby spinach. It is neutral in taste and is filled with nutrition. The other variety is big leaf spinach which can be little bitter in taste.

Banana can either be fresh or frozen, it helps to create a smooth consistency and binding all the ingredients and give it creamy texture.

Nuts & Seeds will make the smoothie more rich and filling.



Ingredients:

Coconut Water - 1 Cup

Celery - 1 stick

Spinach - 1 Cup

Banana - 1/2 (Fresh or Frozen)

Almonds - 6 pieces

Walnuts - 1 Tablespoon

Chia seeds - 1/2 Tablespoon

Flax seeds - 1 Tablespoon



Recipe:

  1. Rinse all the fresh vegetables, Chop celery in 1 inch pieces.

  2. Add all the ingredients in a blender / Food processor and run it till everything blends and combines into a semi liquid drink.

  3. Serve cold with or without ice.


Storage:


It is suggested to drink smoothies as fresh as possible as it contains fresh ingredients. In case of storing, just cover and keep refrigerated. Use within 4 hours of making the smoothie.
