Turmeric is the root of a flowering plant and is a part of Ginger family. The root is removed and can also be used fresh in lots of recipes. Usually we grind the fresh turmeric root into a paste and store it in refrigerator. The paste can directly be added to any recipe.

The root is sun dried or dehydrated to create a dry form. This form can be stored for longer duration and is easily available all over the world. Turmeric is always beneficial if dried under indirect sun as it will restore all the nutrition.
