Berry Shake

Assorted berries for assorted flavours.




Smoothies and shakes are the best way to add nutrition to your diet. Berries are full for flavour and anti oxidants, when added to shakes they work as a meal replacement providing all the essential nutrients. This is an easy recipe with great blend of some healthy ingredients enriched with colour and flavours.


Whey- Whey is a high protein beverage which is extracted from curdled milk. It is usually derived while making cheese or after the milk is curdled with some kind of citric acid. To make liquid whey at home, take 1 litre of milk, heat it and let it come to a boil. Add 2 tbsp. of lemon juice/ white vinegar and wait for few seconds. The acid will curdle the milk, now strain the liquid and whey is ready to use.

Coconut Water- With great soothing qualities and high in minerals and anti oxidants, coconut water is one of the best ingredient to use as a base of smoothies and shakes. It has high potassium and helps in detoxifying and cleansing the body.

Berries- Berries are widely known for being the richest anti oxidant food and has various health benefits. They are the true example of healthy being delicious. In this recipe you can use any kind of berries, either assorted or any one kind. They can be either fresh or frozen as per your choice.

Ingredients:

  • Liquid Whey/ Coconut Water - 2 Cups

  • Assorted Berries - 1 Cup (Fresh or Frozen)

  • Flaxseed Powder - 1 tbsp.


Recipe:

  • Blend all the ingredients together into a smooth shake.

  • Serve cold.
